The Lake Mishnock Fire Department was organized in 1951 by David Owen Jones.

The Lake Mishnock Volunteer Fire/Rescue Company is a full service department that provides Fire services, Medical Rescue services, Distress Rescue services, Search and Rescue and Mounted Search and Rescue services.  Search and Rescue and Mounted Search and Rescue work together to find lost or missing persons in the town of West Greenwich.  We are training continuously to meet the latest standards to provide the community with the best service possible.  Our goal is to effectively meet the needs of our community each and every day.  We are doing all we can to help the people and make a difference in the community.
